Twisted glitch poppers Spirit Of The Beehive have collaborated with noisy punks Empath on a remix of the track '80s' from Empath's recent album Visitor. The remix is a dramatic reworking: fuzzed-out guitars and rattling drums are stripped away in place of swirling synths and auto-tuned vocals. The collaboration comes as part of the Secretly Canadian label's SC25 series of tracks, an anniversary project with the aim of raising funds: "At the center of SC25 is a campaign to raise $250,000 for New Hope For Families, an organization that provides housing and other services to families experiencing homelessness in Bloomington and Monroe County, IN." The project is a celebration of a unique label and an example of how arts and community activism can come together in inspiring ways to help improve lives. -Toby Evans-Jesra
